SUBJECT AND PREDICATE (সাবজেক্ট অ্যান্ড প্রেডিকেট) উদ্দেশ্য ও বিধেয়

Sentence কাকে বলে তা তোমরা আগের পাঠে জেনেছ। সাধারণত প্রত্যেক Sentence-এর দুটি অংশ থাকে। একটি অংশকে Subject (সাবজেক্ট) বা উদ্দেশ্য এবং অপর অংশটিকে Predicate বা বিধেয় বলে। কিছু ব্যতিক্রম ছাড়া Subject এবং Predicate ছাড়া Sentence তৈরি হয় না।

🎯 Subject বা উদ্দেশ্য কাকে বলে?

Sentence যার সম্বন্ধে অর্থাৎ যে ব্যক্তি বা বস্তু বা প্রাণীকে উদ্দেশ্য করে কিছু বলা হয় তাকে Subject বা উদ্দেশ্য বলে।

💡 Predicate বা বিধেয় কাকে বলে?

Subject বা উদ্দেশ্য সম্বন্ধে যা কিছু বলা হয় তাকে predicate বা বিধেয় বলে।

📝 কিছু উদাহরণ লক্ষ্য করো:

1. The dog is eating bread. (কুকুরটি রুটি খাচ্ছে।) এই বাক্যটিতে কার সম্পর্কে বলা হয়েছে? কুকুরটি সম্পর্কে। সেই জন্য The dog হল Subject এবং কুকুর সম্বন্ধে কী বলা হয়েছে? সে রুটি খাচ্ছে। সেইজন্য is eating bread হল Predicate.

2. Amal reads a book. (অমল একটি বই পড়ে।) এই বাক্যটিতে কার সম্পর্কে বলা হয়েছে? অমল সম্পর্কে। সেই জন্য Amal হল Subject এবং অমলের সম্বন্ধে কী বলা হয়েছে? reads a book. সে বই পড়ে। সেইজন্য reads a book হল Predicate.

3. The cat is eating fish. (বিড়ালটি মাছ খাচ্ছে।) এই বাক্যটিতে কার সম্পর্কে বলা হয়েছে? বিড়ালটি সম্পর্কে। The cat হল Subject এবং বিড়ালটি সম্বন্ধে কী বলা হয়েছে? সে মাছ খাচ্ছে। সেইজন্য is eating fish হল Predicate.

📌 মনে রাখতে হবে:

1. প্রত্যেক Sentence-এ কম করে একটি Subject ও একটি Predicate থাকবে। তা না থাকলে কোনো Sentence হবে না।
2. Subject এবং Predicate ছাড়া কোনো Sentence হয় না।
3. প্রত্যেক Predicate বা বিধেয় অতি অবশ্যই একটি Finite Verb (ফাইনাইট ভার্ব) বা সমাপিকা ক্রিয়াপদ থাকবে।
4. অনেক Sentence-এ Subject ঊহ্য থাকে। যেমন: Come here. Go there. Drink milk. Stand-up ইত্যাদি।

📌 Understanding Sentences: Subject, Predicate, and Finite Verb

Observe the Subject, Predicate, and the Finite Verb included in the Predicate in Sentences (Sentences-গুলিতে Subject, Predicate এবং Predicate-এর অন্তর্ভুক্ত Finite Verb বা সমাপিকা ক্রিয়া গুলি লক্ষ্য করো):

Sentence	Subject	Finite Verb	Predicate
The dog is sleeping.	The dog	is	sleeping.
The baby is on the cot.	The baby	is	on the cot.
I drink cold water.	I	drink	cold water.
My daughter loves me.	My daughter	loves	me.

💡 Remember This:

In a Simple Sentence, the Subject (কর্তা) comes first, and then the Verb (ক্রিয়া). If the Verb is transitive (সকর্মক), then the Object (কর্ম) comes after it. The position changes in different types of Sentences (বিভিন্ন রকম Sentence-এর অবস্থানের পরিবর্তন ঘটে).

• What comes first and what comes after in a Simple Sentence? (Simple sentence-এ প্রথমে ও পরে কী কী বসবে?)
