The Himachal range is a paradise for tourists because it has rumbling waterfalls, meandering rivers, fertile valleys, lush green grasslands and luxurious forests. The western Himalayas are covered with snow and are colder than the eastern Himalayas. The eastern Himalayas are low in height and are not snow-covered, but they receive heavy rainfall during the monsoon season.
