The highest mountain peak of the Himadri range is Mt Everest.

The Purvanchal hills are covered with thick forests because this region gets heavy rainfall during the monsoon season.

The Himachal range is a paradise for tourists because it has rumbling waterfalls, meandering rivers, fertile valleys, lush green grasslands and luxurious forests. Famous hill stations like Shimla, Kullu, Manali, Nainital and Mussoorie are also located here, attracting people from all over the world.

The western Himalayas are covered with snow and are colder than the eastern Himalayas. The eastern Himalayas are low in height and are not snow-covered, but they receive heavy rainfall during the monsoon season.

The famous hill stations of the Lesser Himalayas are Shimla, Kullu, Manali, Almora, Nainital, Mussoorie and Darjeeling.
