Explain the location of the Southern Plateau.

Answer

The Southern Plateau includes three plateau regions, namely the Malwa Plateau, the Chota Nagpur Plateau and the Deccan Plateau. The Malwa Plateau is in the north-west part of the southern plateau and lies between the Vindhya and the Aravalli hills. The Chota Nagpur Plateau lies in the north-east of the plateau region extending till the Rajmahal hills. The Deccan Plateau, as the name implies, is the southern extension of the plateau region.

Explanation

The Southern Plateau is located to the south of the Northern Plains.
