🕒 AT THE TIFFIN HOUR

জলযোগের সময় (Tiffin Time)

This is a school. 🏫 Now it is tiffin time! 🍎🥪 The children are eating their tiffins.

Some boys are running. 🏃‍♂️ Some are playing. ⚽ Some are moving.

Some girls are watching games. 👀 Some are sitting under a tree. 🌳 Some are standing under a tree.

Teachers are in their room. 🧑‍🏫 They are taking rest. ☕ Some are eating their tiffins. 🍽️

💡 লক্ষ করো ⁚ (Note This!)

এখানে প্রায় সব কাজগুলো বর্তমানে চলছে এমন কিছু বোঝানো হচ্ছে। তাই verb-বা ক্রিয়ার শেষে _ing- যোগ হয়েছে এবং তার আগে am, is, are- এর একটি বসেছে। মনে রাখতে হবে, এদেরকে বলে ঘঠমান/চলমান বর্তমান (Present continuous).

English Explanation: Almost all the actions mentioned here signify something that is currently in progress. Therefore, the ing suffix has been added to the verb, and one of the auxiliary verbs—am, is, or are—has been placed before it. It is important to remember that this structure is called the Present Continuous tense.

মনে রেখো ৪ 💡 (Remember 4)

sit (v)- এর বাংলা অর্থ বসা, আবার seat (n) অর্থাৎ আসন। লক্ষ্য করো উচ্চারণ একই। এইরকম অনেক শব্দ তোমরা শিখবে- যেমন bathe (v)- স্নান করা, আবার bath (n)- স্নান। their- তাদের, there- সেখানে/ওখানে।

বানান দ্যাখো sit + ing = sitting, দুটো ‘t’ এল কেন? মনে রাখতে হবে, যে সকল শব্দ একবারেই উচ্চারণ হয় (Mono syllable) সেই সকল শব্দের শেষে যদি consonant বা ব্যাঞ্জনবর্ণ থাকে আর তার আগে যদি একটি vowel থাকে সেক্ষেত্রে ডান দিকে কোনো কিছু যোগ হলে consonant টি double (দুটো) হয়- যেমন আরও শব্দ:

• put + ing = putting, cut + ing = cutting
• cut + er = cutter, set + er = setter

কিন্তু book + ing = booking হবে। লক্ষ্য করো ‘o’ দুটো আছে।
